Tips For Finding A Work At Home MLM Business Opportunity

Tuesday 12 February 2008 @ 7:03 pm

If you wish to start a work at home MLM business opportunity, you might consider starting out on a part time basis. The jump into self-employment can be tricky, especially if you have been working at the same job for a number of years. Make sure your new venture can provide adequate income to meet your household needs. Also, by keeping your current ties in the business world, you can attract them as customers to your new endeavor.

Purchasing a work at home MLM business opportunity from one of the large companies may be the best plan of action. If they have been in business for at least five years, you will know that they are a steady, profitable company to affiliate yourself with. However the downside is that you will probably pay more to join rather than an untested, younger company.

When comparing options, a work at home MLM business opportunity that uses your talents is the best choice. Finding a business that appeals to your interests will make working more of a joy rather than displeasure. Fit your knowledge and background to the opportunity to measure if the company is right for you. Your life experiences can add greatly to a company’s offerings to create a perfect blend.

Be careful when selecting a work at home MLM business opportunity. Many companies seek to rip off their customers and offer nothing but high hopes. If the offer sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Contact the Better Business Bureau or the Small Business Administration before selecting a work at home business opportunity if you have any doubts.

Here are some more things to consider when looking for a
Work At Home MLM Business Opportunity

-Understand the opportunity completely before you commit yourself.

-Make sure you have the skills necessary to run the business.

-Do a market survey to see if your potential product has any interest.

-Examine your competition to see if there is room for you.

MLM Training - The Network Marketing Success Secrets of Striking Gold in Your Memory Jogger

Tuesday 12 February 2008 @ 7:03 pm

The question all new Network Marketing Distributors ask when they get started is:

“Who Do I Know?”

In this mlm training article, we are going to go over the contact list. This is where you start “Digging for Gold” in your network marketing business!

Every name that you know is a gold mine. And most never dig it. This article will help you understand where the gold mine really is in your relationships.

INFERNO Secret:

It is NOT who you know. It is who your friends know, and then who THEY know, and then who THEY know, and then who THEY know.

It is called “Generations” in a memory jogger. You MUST dig into the generation structures of your memory jogger, and understand that it is sometimes 2-3 generations deep before you strike gold.

Your friends are a valuable resource to your dream, and many will help you build it if you ask them. These are people you want to begin sharing the life-changing message and products/services of your mlm company with immediately.

You will want to write down at least 25 people to start. And then build up to a list of 52 names, and eventually 100 or more.

Why 52 names?

There is nothing magical about the number 52, but it is used to help create a mental picture. The number 52 represents a deck of 52 cards. With your mlm program, you can reach upper network marketing leadership levels with the right leaders.

So picture yourself with a deck of 52 cards. You know that somewhere in that deck there are 4 “Aces,” and you need at least 3 Aces to maximize your success initially. You don’t know where the Aces are, but you know they are somewhere in the deck.

Imagine turning those cards over systematically one at a time, searching for those Aces until you find them. Go through your list of 52 names one at a time Just remember that there are also a couple of “Jokers” in every deck!

It may take one person 37 cards to find the aces, another 45, and then another all 52. But the aces WILL show up!

INFERNO Secret:

If you continue to flip the cards over, you WILL find the aces. If you continue to talk to people, you WILL find the aces.

This next step should be done with your sponsor face-to-face or on the telephone.

You will find that there are basically three people you will be talking to:

1) The people that are Motivated.

These are 20% of the people. They are motivated to grow, improve, and to increase who they are and where they are going in life. They will be very interested in what you have to say.

2) The people that are Curious.

These are the 30% of the people. They are curious about what you have to say, and curious about finding out more about your products. Many of these folks will end up being customers as well as distributors in your mlm business.

3) The People that are not interested.

These are the 50% of the people that simply are not interested in change and growth, and will not really listen to what you have to say. Get referrals if possible, sell them your products, but move on! They like where they are in life, and want to stay there for now. That could change. Don’t take it personally.

You want to find the people that are motivated for your network marketing business, and talk to them. They are the ones that want to do something with their life. The curious will want to know, and the uninterested will want to be negative. It will take a lot of conversations to find the motivated, but you will need a tool that can help you construct your mlm contact list.

INFERNO Secret:

Quit looking for the people you are looking for, and start looking for the people who are looking for you.

Here is a VERY brief MLM Memory Jogger List that we used for years and the complete listing had over 1000 “joggers” to help the new distributor remember who they have forgotten.

INFERNO Secret:

To double the size of your list immediately, ask one simple question: “Who Do I know that they know?”

WHO DO YOU KNOW?

Who’s dissatisfied
Money motivated
Who’s out of work
Family members
Who Is laid off
Who’s in MLM
Who has lots of time

MLM Network Marketing Recruiting Training - The 5 Magnetic Phrases that Paint Word Pictures

Tuesday 12 February 2008 @ 7:03 pm

One of the most powerful secrets to recruiting in network marketing. Do you use them?

INFERNO Secret:

Word Pictures can increase your recruiting ratio by 50% overnight!

Ok… what are they?

They are phrases or questions that create a mental image or picture of the prospect obtaining or creating what they want in their life, and then igniting it with Emotion.

INFERNO Secret:

The power of this recruiting secret is in how the mental picture makes them FEEL. You see, too many distributors DISPENSE, DISPLAY, and DISPOSE when recruiting…

We call it the “3 D’s of Mediocre Recruiting”:

The 3 D’s of MLM Mediocre Recruiting

1) They Dispense information.

2) They Display the program and products.

3) They Dispose of any real chance of recruiting the prospect because of the lack of MAGNETISM.

Why?

INFERNO Secret:

They are too focused on recruiting the prospect for THEIR reasons, not the prospects. And there are phrases you can use that literally will create a magnetic environment when you recruit in your Home Business.

I used these phrases for years, and many prospects were nearly crawling over the table to get an application.

What are they?

These Phrases or questions simply paint a picture or help the person imagine themselves having what they want in life, and magnetizing it with FEELING.

The “5 MLM Recruiting Phrases that Paint MAGNETIC Word Pictures”.

1) “Imagine the feeling of….”

Imagine the feeling of being in that house you were talking about…how would it feel? Imagine the feeling of having the time you want to spend with your kids…and spending all day with them in the park…

Would that be great? Imagine the feeling of owning your own home based business and having control of your life…what would that mean to you?

2) “Can you see yourself..(being…doing…having…)”

Can you see yourself finally having the success you have always wanted and feeling incredible? Can you see yourself in Hawaii with your spouse and it costing you nothing? Can you see yourself having more freedom than you ever have had with a home business?

3) “How would your life change if…?”

How would your life change if you had more time to do the things you want? How would your life change if you had the financial freedom to live the life you want? How would your life change if you had more time to spend with your kids…quality time they crave?

4) “What would it mean to your family if….”

What would it mean to your family if you had more money to create a better lifestyle? What would it mean to your family if you were to be able to buy a bigger home? What would it mean to your children if you were at home working in Network Marketing while being with them?

5) “Where would your life be if….?”

Where would your life be if you were to have a six figure income? Where would your life be if you had the money to do what you wanted, not what you had to do? Where would your family be if you could take them on vacations you wanted to, not what you could afford to?

BONUS Question:

“Lets be Honest….Don’t you and your family deserve… the best life has to offer?”

Don’t you and your family deserve… a better lifestyle?

Don’t you and your family deserve… what you truly want, not just what you can afford?

These phrases are Magnetic and :

The Secret of “Already There” in a Home Business.
INFERNO Secret:

They make people THINK! And what you are doing is putting themselves in a mental picture of being ALREADY THERE, and enjoying the life they truly want…and FEELING it in their hearts…

And then your job is simply to say… “That’s why we need to talk…I can help you obtain that in your life….and so much more…..with what I have discovered…in Direct Sales and MLM”

(Discovered is a MAGNETIC word…HOT!!!)

Help For Your Time Management and Organizational Issues

Tuesday 12 February 2008 @ 7:02 pm

Many home-based businesses find they have a greater sense of control over how they use time. Working from home affords them fewer interruptions and more flexible ways to work, which makes them even more productive than if they worked in a corporate environment. On the other hand, others have a hard time getting started, sticking to business, and some become workaholics.

Let’s start with a self diagnosis of what might be your time management problems.

1. Do you have a hard time getting started and sticking to business?

2. Do you have a hard time organizing your workday?

3. Do you procrastinate?

4. Are you constantly being interrupted?

5. Do you have a hard time getting away from work?

6. Do you find yourself overworking?

If you have any of the above problems you need help with managing your time.

The following will help you to deal with these issues.

Time management and organization of your office are very much tied together. An unorganized office will cost you a lot of time. Time getting started for the day, time finding phone numbers, letters or materials you need.

Some of the basics elements of Time Management are as follows:

1. Setting up a Work Schedule - Some of the ways to set up a workable schedule are to:

a) establish your schedule around the demands of your work.

b) establish your schedule around those times of the day you work best. For Chuck and I, our high energy hours are in the morning.

c) establish your work schedule around the other priorities of your life. For example, some single dads and moms with children might need to work before the kids get up, stop working, and get them off to school, work during the school day, pick up the kids, and spend some quality time with your family, and then do some additional work in the evening. Others work hard for 3-4 days a week and take long weekends.

d) Organize your schedule around a particular work task. This won’t work for everyone, but if your business allows you to break off certain aspects of jobs into different days and time periods, do so.

e) Set up an arbitrary schedule. For some of you, any kind of schedule is better than nothing in the beginning. Eventually you will find your high and low points during the day, which will allow you to eventually establish a schedule for yourself that works best for you and one you can stick to.

2. Getting Started - Chuck and I start working after we walk the dogs. This is our trigger to start our day. When we come back in from walking them we immediately head for the office. For others, it might simply be to walk into your office, or set a timer to go off, or once you drop the kids off.

3. Staying With Business Matters - Once you do get started, don’t let yourself be distracted by household items or anything else. Don’t procrastinate. You want to be efficient. To do so, plan your day, set reasonable goals, praise yourself for the work your doing. You no longer have the water cooler or coffee klatch around to give you that praise, so you must give it to yourself. In fact, reward yourself for a job well done with something you enjoy doing.

The following are some everyday time-savers to build into your daily routine to help you work more efficiently.

a) Be sure you have organized your contacts, and files.

b) Use time saving technology - a touch tone phone, with re-dial button, your computer, printer, copy machine, e-mail. Prioritize your To do List. Use your mail folders.

c) Learn to say no.

d) Make use of down time. File while your printing something or back up your data during lunch.

e) Build a time cushion into your day. It is much better to overestimate the time it takes to do something than to underestimate.

f) Don’t make a big deal over little decisions. For example, supplies.

g) Plan to do two things at once. Read after business hours; or get audiocassettes and listen while doing household chores; proof items while printing or backing up.

h) If you prioritize your To Do list, you will have a bunch of little items that will take you 3-5 minutes to complete; filing, update tickle, proofreading are some of these short tasks.

Some of the best ways to maximize your efficiency are to: plan your workday; safeguard your work from unwanted distraction and interruptions; recognize and sidetrack procrastination; set reasonable work goals, praise yourself for your work and reward yourself for a job well done; take frequent regular breaks; schedule your work so it won’t conflict with you favorite activities; and arrange for a change of scenery. By doing all this you keep yourself fresh and able to work at your best.

Some of your most time consuming tasks will be: keeping up to date in your area of expertise by reading. Read only pertinent material. For many items you receive just highlighting or skimming the article will suffice.

Meetings are another area that take up a lot of time. Be sure before you schedule the meeting to ask yourself, is it necessary? Can I do this by telephone, mail or teleconference? If you do have to schedule a meeting, be sure you are organized with an outline of what you need to cover, and a specific time limit. If the meeting does run over, see if you can finish it by phone or mail, if possible, rather than rescheduling.

For those of you in lease purchasing, remember your telephone script. You don’t leave the office until you get all the information on the script, check out that information, finalize your numbers, then call the seller to schedule a meeting. When you go to your meeting with the seller, be sure to take your flyers and signs to place after you and the seller sign the contract. Don’t waste time having to make a second trip.

Correspondence, projects, phone calls and errands are other areas that take up a lot of time. For your correspondence, set up an efficient routine for processing your mail (See the Articles: Organizing Your Office For The Year 2000, Part 1 & 2).

Keep your errands to a minimum, or schedule a specific day when you do them in a morning or afternoon. To expedite your phone calls, have names and numbers handy, use your egg timer to set a time limit for each call. Ask them to send written material to review, or if they need information from you, you do the same.

For your large projects, break them down into smaller manageable tasks. Give each of these tasks a deadline, and be sure to place all of the information in your project file on a sheet stapled to the inside of the file.

Stress is a part of our lives. When you become overwhelmed or something upsets your day, don’t let it ruin the remainder of the day or carry over to the next. Take a deep breath; count to 10, take a break; sing a song that comforts you; take a walk around the block; play with the dogs. When you do get back to your desk - remember - nothing lasts forever, and tomorrow is a new day.

4. Interruptions, Distractions and Procrastinating - To safeguard yourself from the interruptions and distractions of household responsibilities: interruptions from family, friends or neighbors; remind yourself and them that even though you are at home YOU ARE AT WORK. If you were at an office outside the home you wouldn’t be able to solve their problems or take a break to spend time with them.

Work out a plan with your family of what your hours are, when you can and can’t be disturbed. You need to keep focused on your work. The ability to maintain a deep concentration can prevent you from being distracted.

Procrastination is one the of the biggest problems with many home-based businesses. It is very easy to put off or never get to something you want to avoid. One way to avoid this is to think performance not perfection. If you set small manageable goals to be accomplished you won’t fear not being able to accomplish them. You need to recognize and side step procrastination.

Procrastination is one of the hardest things to overcome for so many people. However, if you start by doing the one thing you like to do, this could help you to move on to do the other things you don’t like. For those of you that have a extremely difficult time with procrastination, start with your favorite thing to do,

MLM Consultant - The 5 Things to Look for in Great MLM Consultants

Tuesday 12 February 2008 @ 7:02 pm

Consulting in MLM has gotten to be a big business in Network Marketing. Being one myself, I have found that there are good ones out there, and then there are well, not so good ones. You must know what to look for, before you spend a dime with them.

Many MLM Consultants are actually Network Marketers that say they are consultants. You must understand that consulting is a career and profession that demands many things, but being a Network Marketer does NOT automatically qualify one as an expert. Even if they have had great Success in MLM, that may be due to being in the right place at the right time, with the right people. That happens in Network Marketing often.

Here are the 5 things to look for in a good MLM Consultant:

1) A Track record that is available for Inspection.

Any good consultant, no matter the industry, will keep their track record available for any kind of inspection by a future client. They have nothing to hide, nor do they want to. The results they have accomplished speak for themselves.

Ask them if they have some clients you could talk to, or get some kind of testimonial. Track records in consulting can mean the difference between spending money and getting little, or spending money and getting a lot. Check what they have DONE, not what they said they have done. You will be glad you did.

2) Check for their Credentials.

What kind of solid credentials do they have that would warrant you spending money with them? What kind of education about MLM do they have? What kind of experience do they have in Network Marketing? Do they have the right business experience? Have they ever run a business before? What kind of degree do they have if applicable?

Credentials are important in modern day consulting, and not only for you, but also for the results you seek from an MLM Consultant. Most consultants have a portfolio they can show you. Ask for it, and study it. You will be glad you did.

3) Look for Professionalism.

Professionalism is a MUST in any field of consulting. Do they come across as a professional? Do they speak as a professional? Do they communicate in a professional manner? How do they handle themselves? How do they handle other people? Do they return phone calls in an efficient manner? Do they keep their phone appointments? Are they prepared for the appointment? Do they follow up in a professional manner? Are they pushy, or have your best interests at heart? Do they come across as honest and with integrity?

Being a professional speaks well of a consultant. But here is the KEY- are they CONSISTENT in all of the above? And do they do it with a smile on their face? These questions will tell a lot about an MLM Consultant and how they will handle things in any future endeavor.

4) Do they ask questions that are focused on your problem, or questions that are focused on being a consultant?

There are many questions that consultants ask that are all part of being a consultant. You want the kind of QUESTIONS that zero in on the solution to YOUR problem, not what they have learned to ask as a rote exercise. You are looking to hire them to solve a problem, not be a consultant. Make sure their questions are focused on moving you forward, not just creating conversation.

Brutal? Yes, Honest? Totally. MLM Consultants are not cheap, and if you are going to spend money, make sure that you get what you pay for, and get your challenge resolved. That is what MLM Consultants get paid for- to solve problems, not to engage in a fruitless boiler plate exercise.

5) Have they actually spent any time working Network Marketing and understand the culture, the philosophy, and what the REAL dynamics are to create Success in a group, and an MLM company?

I am amazed that there are “consultants” out there that have never spent an hour in the MLM field. They have never recruited anyone. They have never sold a product in MLM. They have never held a Company Event for a team. They have never done a presentation around a kitchen table, or a home meeting. They have never explained an MLM Comp plan to people before, nor do they know how. But yet, they sell themselves as an MLM Consultant.

Make sure that there is SOME experience in the field, as that alone brings a wealth of knowledge that many do not have. It is not easy building a successful MLM group and business. If you have not done it, then you are coming as an MLM Consultant, from more of a position of weakness than someone who has, and can explain what it took, and how to do it. It makes a lot of difference in understanding the business of MLM as well.

Experience is a MUST and that includes also working in an MLM Company in some form. That can be as simple as being part of an ‘Inner Circle” team that was familiar with the workings of a Network marketing company. Having worked for an MLM Corporation is a big plus as well.

These are the 5 Traits you should look for in an MLM Consultant. There are more you need to consider, but these are the 5 MAJOR ones when considering MLM Consultants.

How to Pick the Perfect Product for Mail Order

Tuesday 12 February 2008 @ 7:02 pm

So you’ve done some investigating into mail order and haven’t found something you’d like to sell. Here are some tips that should point you in the right direction.

First, you must have a specific category of goods you’d like to sell.. You must enjoy what you’re doing or it won’t be worth your trouble, so you should pick some category of goods that falls within an area of interest to you.

Don’t be afraid that the market might already be saturated; if a lot of people are already selling that class of goods, it’s because the market calls for that much product.

If you’re a hot dancer, you might be able to put together a dance course of dancercise program, or sell dancewear. If you’re into tennis, the number of gadgets for tennis players,, or in fact, any sport or hobby is staggering, and marketed correctly, most of them will make money. If knowledge in a certain field is your stock-in-trade, by all means, become a writer!

Books are probably the safest and hottest commodities you can sell by mail. There are trade magazines for virtually every kind of business and private venture and every private interest group or hobby in existence. Check your library for the name of these magazines, get copies of them by hook or crook, and find out what’s being offered to people in the industry.

Trade magazines are where new products are first introduced, and you can often get exclusive rights to a marvellous idea just because you were brave enough to ask.

One of the most important considerations is availability.

If you have exclusive rights to a product, you can virtually write your own ticket. Mind you, it must be an item in fairly great demand or something for which you can create a demand.

It should generally be an item you cannot buy in stores or cannot be bought in stores for the price you can ask by mail. If it can be bought in stores at a comparable price, then your offering should have some special feature about it that makes it unique. Don’t try to compete with retail outlets.

The next consideration is price and quantity.

You must be able to produce or supply yourself with the item at the very least at one-third of your selling price, and in most cases the higher your markup the better. The actual selling price must still represent good value to the customer, but don’t be too concerned about undercutting just yet, since the difference between retail and supplier’s factory-direct price is usually substantial.

In order to get the price necessary to provide a good profit margin, you should not have to buy up a factory’s entire production either. It should be possible to buy hundred or gross lots at a fair cost (if you’re not dealing in that kind of volume at some point, it won’t be worth you while in the first place).

If you are selling merchandise, you must have some sort of guarantee and be able to back it up.

A product that routinely breaks down before the warranty expires won’t do much for your image and will cost you must more than just a refund over both the short and long term.

If you are selling books, you can get away without a guarantee and in fact one of the most successful mail order firms in existence has made it a point of pride that they offer no guarantees at any item, even on a new publication costing $1,000!

Posters have traditionally been hot mail order sellers, but they have one very serious drawback: they require expensive tubes for safe shipping, and those tubes and the postage they require often cost more than the poster itself. Which brings us to the next point: how easily and cheaply… and safely can it be shipped?

The product must also be understood by the buyer before it’s actually purchased. Anything requiring a demonstration or great amounts of instruction in its use is better left to salesmen on the retail floor.

If you are selling direct from advertisements, keep the items under $25 unless they are well-known and exceptional products. When selling by direct mail, higher priced items can be sold since you’re able to take much more space to explain the article.

Finally, it must be something that is either used up, purchased repeatedly, can be accessorized or leads to the sale of another item, either from a catalog or future sales campaign.

The real money in mail order is made form repeat sales where the expenditures required to sell a given number of items is vastly reduced.
