Key Aspects Of A Successful Network Marketing Program

Tuesday 12 February 2008 @ 7:02 pm

The world of network marketing has many aspects, but promotion,
persistence, and patience are three key elements which are
vital to achieving successful results in a network marketing
program.

PROMOTION is the lifeblood of network marketing. Whether you
are using online methods or offline methods, or a combination of
both, you must constantly strive to get your offering in front of
a targeted audience.

There are thousands of published sources that deal with specific
methods of network marketing (both online and offline), but the
key point to be made here is that you must have an active
promotion campaign designed to bring in a steady stream of new
prospective downline members.

PERSISTENCE is a key element in network marketing success.
You’ve gotta “just keep on keepin’ on”, even though frustation
levels can be quite high at times.

After you have been at it a while, and have a downline large
enough to provide reasonably accurate statistics, you will
probably find that about 95% of your downline members are dormant
and do nothing at all. Its easy to get down in the dumps or take
it personally when you encounter so many “do nothing” people.

Therefore, it is really important work with and actively support
the 5% or so that are serious about participating. And clearly,
an active and effective promotion campaign will continue to
bring in increasing numbers of potential participants so that
while 5% is small on a percentage basis, it can still be a
sizeable amount from a pure numbers standpoint.

PATIENCE is vital. You can expect that it will take about a year
before the awsome power of geometric growth kicks in.

A classic illustration of geometric growth is the frequently used
penny-a-day example.

If you save one penny on the first day, and double it every
successive day, (day two you have 2 pennies and day three you have
4 pennies, and so on) how much will you have at the end of
30 days? The answer, to the astonishment of many, is $5,368,708!
Amazing, but true.

Its a sad statistic that most network marketers fail and it is
often traceable to the fact that they did not exhibit enough
persistence and patience to continue constantly promoting their
business for the year or so that is required for success.

Network marketers that stick with it for a year or more often end
up becoming the proverbial “heavy hitters”.

In closing, I would like to encourage you to increase your chances
of becoming a successful network marketer by always keeping a
clear focus on “the three P’s” of Promotion, Persistence, and
Patience.

Write to the Top!

Tuesday 12 February 2008 @ 7:02 pm

How to people find you on the Internet? Through words, of course, and as such, carefully chosen words and keywords will determine your sites’ rankings on search engines and will pull visitors to your opportunity.

Once they’re pounding on your website door, how do you keep their attention and ultimately get the cash register to go ‘cha ching?’ Again, through the right choice of words.

You see, words prompt people to think, consider the options, decide and then take appropriate action. You’re hoping for a click on your payment button; not one that finds the prospective buyer gone for good.

Your web content must be believable and sincere or you may drive visitors out like golf balls! Be credible. Many sites employ the overzealous “wow,” “never before” exaggerations. Unless backed by research or documented evidence, most visitors will feel the claims are untrue. How would they trust you with their money?

Heed this advice when it comes to your promotions and your website: Keep It Simple Stupid (KISS). When writing, good golly don’t think that you’re Shakespeare! Use shorter words, sentences and paragraphs. Only one (1) idea per paragraph and utilize the inverted pyramid style of writing by placing the most important point or the conclusion first…NOT last!

Also, objective language will foster credibility rather than overly promotional hype which tends to show a pushy disposition. You need meaningful and/or clever headlines to grab the visitors attention. Your site is not a used car lot; get over it!

Please remember that writing might be fundamental, but it’s also hard work. Reading from a computer screen easily tires your eyes. People read a good 25% slower on the web than they read print material. That’s why web content must be shorter than print.

Studies also show that over three quarters of readers on the web tend to skim text rather than hang on every word. Highlighted text or bullets aid scanning. Web readers also do not have the patience of Job and detest obscure and complex text. You have less than ten seconds to grab their attention; less than a minute to develop an understanding of your product or service, so the best bet is to put the most vital information at the top.

In an average day, individuals suffer from information overload several times. On your website or in your promos, offer the information in tiny servings which are easily digestible…that again means shorter words, sentences and paragraphs.

Save your 50-cent words for your autobiography or eBook. When it comes to your business opportunity and, therefore, your website, think of the Weekly Reader back in school. The simpler, the better.

Common Work At Home Success Characteristics

Tuesday 12 February 2008 @ 7:02 pm

Do people that are successful in home based businesses share
some common characteristics and, if so, what are the primary
ones?

The dictionary defines successful as:

*having a favorable outcome, or

*having obtained something desired or intended, or

*having achieved wealth or eminence

When applied to a home business, I think the definition of the
word successful involves a combination of financial gain, time
flexibility, and being able to call your own shots (being your
own boss). The order of importance will vary from person to
person.

I have had the good fortune to be quite successful with
home-based internet businesses. No, that is not completely
accurate, I have had success because I have invested a lot of
sweat equity in my work at home business activities.

Having spent many years in the corporate world, I am a firm
believer in the team aspect of business and so I naturally
gravitated toward network marketing instead of trying to go
solo selling products/services and competing with the big players
like Yahoo, Amazon and the other well known names.

After doing considerable research, I found a very well
established and financially solid internet-based company to work
with. Using my business experience in the “offline world” and
developing my internet marketing skills on the fly in an OJT
(aka: on-the-job-training) format, things have gone very well and
I recently spent some time trying to identify some of the primary
traits that are common in my most successful team members.

Whether you’re breeding bird dogs, or race horses, or drafting
college football players to play in the NFL…it’s important to
develop “markers” that can be very useful in predicting success.
From my offline, traditional, business experience I have known
this from the get-go, but for some reason I was slow to learn
(or, was it re-learn?) that identifying the people with a high
likelihood of success is even more important when developing an
online network marketing business that depends upon teamwork.

Reflecting back on many of the truly successful people I have
worked with in network marketing, I made a list of the numerous
success factors that emerged when I assessed each person
individually. After compiling the list, three factors seemed to
stand out as being the most common success indicators. In no
particular order, these factors were:

*approaching the business with a long term perspective. It often takes a long time to become an “overnight success”

*exhibiting the tenacity of a pit bull

*being able to ride the emotional roller coaster (two steps forward and one step back) in the early stages of developing the business

Just because a person has these characteristics, it does not
ensure success and, on the flip side, a person is not necessarily
doomed to failure just because he or she does not possess all
three of them.

MLM Success Training - The Secrets to Deciding Who You Will Become in MLM

Tuesday 12 February 2008 @ 7:02 pm

There are many factors that impact Success in life. And that is true for MLM and Network marketing as well. There are also factors with any good training program, and these ultimately will determine the success of your teaching.

There are three “Maximum Factors” to learning that MUST be a part of any MLM teaching process. If these factors are not met, then the training is less than what it should be.

You must have:

1) Education.

This will come from the mlm company Training Manual the company has made available to you . There are other trainings available as well, which all will help educate you. The Education Factor PROVIDES you the KNOWLEDGE.

2) Motivation.

This must come from the Leadership and teaching style, additional self-development teachings, as well as encouragement during the challenges. You must build you while you build your business. This factor ENERGIZES the KNOWLEDGE!

3) Activation.

This is where the teaching MUST get the new person DOING, not just Learning. You must ACTIVATE the new distributor the first 7 days to get into the game, and start the sharing process the first week. It is an industry fact that the distributors that experienced some form of success their first week, had a pattern of more success their first year, then those who did not. This factor ACTIVATES the KNOWLEDGE!

Educate!

Motivate!

Activate!

And the goal of PassionFire is to Maximize your Company Training Manual, the tools they use, your Leadership, and your MLM Success!

And yes, there is a whole lifetime ahead of you, but we must focus on getting you started the right way. There will be more articles coming! This process is simply to help take the Training Manual your company has, and Empower what you do with it, and GET YOU INTO IMMEDIATE ACTION & RESULTS!

The Road to Becoming in Network Marketing.

Let’s move forward, and talk about whom you are planning on becoming in your MLM and Network Marketing business.

Before you ever call anyone, or even start your learning, you need to be honest with yourself about your Role, and what you are going to be doing as you build your dream mlm business.

Many people never define who they are in this business, and what they are going to do. And because of that, never have clearly defined tasks or focus in building their dreams. This will create a “fog” or lack of clarity in which direction you are going to be heading and what you will be doing with the hours you have to work your business.

In your wonderful Network Marketing company, you need to decide which one of these roles you are planning on taking on and which is most comfortable for you at this time. Understand, you will grow tremendously in this business and company, but there always needs to be a starting point.

Which one best describes you now?

1) Retailer of the Products.

This is simply the lifeblood of our company, and is where you share the products with your friends and family, and build a business with lots of customers over time. The retail profits and commissions you earn can become a significant income.

2) Retailer of the Products who wants to grow into a Business Builder

Many friends that you share these products with will know someone, or even be interested themselves in working with you in building their own business and dreams. Never be pushy, but MAGNETIC, with excitement, energy, and passion as you develop a team who decides to duplicate what you’re doing. Serious part-time supplemental income can develop here.

3) Serious (Career) Business Builder

Serious Business Builders are the potential Super Stars of your business and company. And they are the leaders of your company. Their focus is amazing, and work ethic is strong.

And many Serious Business Builders grew into this Role, by starting as retailers of the products only. The Path to Success can be traveled many ways, but the key is to KEEP TRAVELLING THE PATH! Career incomes are made at this level.

Which one do you see yourself as now? There is NO WRONG ANSWER! You need to do what excites you most, and then simply start.

That’s it. Just START.

What excites you the most, and “feels right”, will be what you do initially the best. As you grow, you may change your focus and direction in MLM.

Once you define what you plan on becoming, and what role you will be stepping into, you do not have to stay there. You may start off as simply a retailer and share the products, and eventually grow into the company’s number one earner. All things are possible!

Decide what you are going to do, and then step into that role, and master it. You will be shocked at how easy it really is to create success in your life once you decide to.

Especially Success in MLM and Network Marketing.

Blessings…

What To Expect From A Home Based Business

Tuesday 12 February 2008 @ 7:02 pm

So you have decided to begin working at home and own and operate a home based business. What next? What should you expect as a new home based business owner? What can you do to make sure the transition from having an outside job to a home based business easier?

It is important to have realistic expectations with a home based business. Most people don’t make a fortune overnight working at home. Having a home based business means that you will have to put in the time and effort to work at home to make it a success. Home based businesses are only as good as the effort you put into them. If your efforts are half-hearted, then your results with your home-based business will be also. Building a successful home based business that makes the money you want is going to take some time. However, if you believe in yourself and your home-based business, half the work is already done.

You can also expect that friends, family and former colleagues are going to display some skepticism, even scorn when you announce you are going to work at home. This is only natural, and it is up to you to prove to them that your home based business can be successful. Think how much fun it will be to tell them how relaxing it is to work at home, and having the flexible hours and disposable income with your home based business that they have only dreamed about. After your home based business is a success, you can expect others to ask you how you did it. This is the perfect opportunity to introduce them to your home based business opportunity.

There might be days when you get discouraged. When you feel that working at home is not for you. When you are doing everything right with your home based business but are not getting the results you want. Relax. These kinds of days happen to everyone, regardless of whether you are working at home or at some other job. The key is to take a step back and take a short breather. Do something you enjoy and get your mind off your home based business for a while. When you come back to your home office, you will feel refreshed and ready for any work at home challenge that awaits you.

After all, no successful home based business comes without some hard work and dedication.

Quick & Easy Tools for You to Effectively Market Your Home Business

Tuesday 12 February 2008 @ 7:01 pm

A home business is a paradise for those who have spent years working 50-hours a week in a cubicle, dealing with terrible bosses and pesky co-workers, and yes, you guessed it- a daily dose of ulcers trying to make it to work on time! It is no wonder more and more people are turning into home business entrepreneurs, making it the most rapidly growing segment in the economy.

For the home business owner who has just put most of his eggs in this basket, you’d think it would be twice as tough to market his products and services. Well, think again! It does not have to cost an arm and a leg to put your business on the high road; all you need is some basic rules, some sound thinking and a lot of imagination.

Give these low cost strategies and marketing tools a try and you will be amazed at the results:

1. Network: a cardinal rule of marketing is to Network, Network, Network! You never know from where a good business lead will come your way. The question is, with whom do you network? That’s easyUse your contacts! Even before you started your business you knew at least a couple of hundred people. They in turn would know a couple of hundreds themselves and so on and so forth. That’s a good database to begin with. Spend time developing relationships with the people you already know. Ask them to refer business your way and educate them about the products and services you sell.

2. Use the Internet: One of the most cost- effective and easily accessible marketing tools available to the home business owner is the Internet. Marketing through the Internet cuts across geographical boundaries and creates a high impact in a much lesser time. So, it would do you a world of good to employ email as a key marketing tool. Spend some time in crafting out a business letter that clearly spells out the Why, Where, How, What and When of your business. Flesh out a mailing list of your current and prospective buyers and start hitting the send button.

3. Publicity: Use the power of the written word to your advantage. Advertising costs a lot of money & time, PR is more cost effective, gets you recognition and lends instant credibility to you business. Focus on local dailies, relevant magazines and trade magazines. It would not be a bad idea to also target web- based publications and ezines. You don’t need to hire an expensive PR firm to do this job for you. You could write the article yourself or enlist the help of a friend or family member who has some experience at newspaper writing. Two keys to a good press release are a succinct headline and making sure it doesn’t read like ad copy.

4. Jump “Out- of -the- box”: Get creative. The best ideas are the ones that catch the customer by surprise. A small Non-profit organization, which raised funds through its events, created a painting contest for kids and called it “Colors of Concern”. The paintings sent for competition could only be in shades of blue; which was the organization’s corporate colors. A challenge like that got them entries in thousands and caught the attention of the local papers and news channels as well. A winning idea does not necessarily have to get you praying for a fortune; just some creative, lateral thinking would work wonders.

5. Follow up: Follow up on sales calls made earlier, on emails sent out and with your contacts to see if they have any new references for you. Go all out keeping in touch with your contacts. It not only allows you to keep a sales lead hot, but also gives you the opportunity to talk about the new developments at your company, fill in any communication gaps and well, just stay in touch!

6. Talk to your existing clients: More often than not, one of the biggest mistakes business owners make is to get complacent about existing customers. A rule of thumb to go by here is: “80% of your business comes from 20% of your customers”. It is anybody’s guess that the 20% of the big business generating customers are the ones that you’ve already been selling to for some time. Don’t ignore them. It is easier to retain old customers than to make new ones. Build a system to get regular feedback from existing customers on products, services, new requirements, post-sales support and new requirements that they may have. Remember, that in the end it is more about how much your customers value your services than about how satisfied they are.

Success is not a function of size. Success is all about being an effective marketer and a creative one at that. So get out of the box and get smart about your marketing with these simple, time tested rules, and watch your business break into a faster pace.

MLM Tools To Generate Repeat Business

Tuesday 12 February 2008 @ 7:01 pm

The MLM tools to grow your MLM home business can be simple and affordable. The best way to generate repeat and follow-up business is to be friendly and offer good customer service the first time. It doesn’t take a lot of expense to make a business prosper, but poor customer service can kill a business without spending any money at all. Often the best marketing is the marketing that is spread by word-of-mouth. Getting customers to talk about you and your services to others just takes a little extra effort on your part. Here are some MLM tools to help your develop a loyal clientele.

One no-cost MLM tool to generate repeat business is courtesy. That’s right, just simple kindness. Talk with your customers while you are selling. Listen to their problems. If they are under the weather; send them a get-well card. If they are about to celebrate a birthday, drop another card. Send a thank-you note for their purchase. All these show you care more for the person rather than the sale. Most of the time your competition doesn’t.

Another low-cost MLM tool to attract business is e-mail. You can start newsletters concerning your business and send them to your customers. Involve them as much as possible. Accept their offerings for a recipe of the month, humorous tidbits, or personal testimonies about using your products. It’s a sure-fire way to keep customers loyal and happy. MLM tools don’t have to be expensive to work: they just need to be genuine.

If your business is on the Internet, a MLM tools to consider is search engine optimization. By using keywords often in the text of your web pages, you can achieve higher rankings in the search engines such as Google and Overture. The web crawlers they use scan your website and determine what keywords apply to it best. By using ample keywords your rankings and profits should jump significantly.

What Network Marketing is NOT

Tuesday 12 February 2008 @ 7:01 pm

There are so many misconceptions flying around out there
about what network marketing is or is not. Let’s take
a few seconds to review what network marketing is NOT.

Network Marketing is NOT an Illegal Pyramid scheme

Pyramid schemes and network marketing are not the same
thing in any way shape or form. A pyramid schemes is illegal
and network marketing is not. Pyramid schemes are illegal
financial engines where there are no products or services
being sold. Pyramid schemes are just an opportunity to
redistribute money from one person to another.

Network marketing on the other hand is a legal business
model where real and legitimate products and services are
distributed between large networks of customers.

Network Marketing is NOT a way to get rich quick

Although some may advertise certain network marketing
opportunities with a get in now and be rich in 5 minutes
type hype that never happens. If you ever hear of someone
getting into a network marketing opportunity and having
immediate success it’s because they had some sort of prior
experience that set them up for that success. In general it
takes 5 - 7 years of committed business building to get
those large checks that so many of use out there want. If
you want to get rich network marketing can definitely help
you make that happen, but I assure you it’s not going to be
as quick as you think.

Network Marketing is NOT just for salespeople

Some people may falsely believe that network marketing is
just for salespeople, but that’s just flat out wrong. In
the past, network marketing was much more of a salesperson’s
game, but today with the advent of the internet and
automated marketing system the system does the selling. All
an aspiring network marketer must do is get leads into their
system and then teach their downline how to do the same.
Today, network marketing really is much more of a sorting
process.

Network Marketing is NOT for lazy people

Many people get into network marketing with the thought that
all they have to do is find a couple of people and then just
kind of sit back and watch the checks come in. This couldn’t
be further from the truth. If you ever meet anyone that is
extremely successful at network marketing you will soon see
that they are some of the hardest working people that you
will ever meet.

Network marketing takes a lot of work. A whole lot of
work for what seems to be very little reward when you first
start. In order to truly be successful in network marketing
you must work hard to expose your opportunity to as many
people as you can. After the big checks start coming in you
can work a little less, but you have to work extremely hard
to get those big residual checks.

That’s it. I hope I was able to clear a few things up for
you.

MLM Recruiting Success - The Ultimate Objective in Network Marketing Recruiting

Tuesday 12 February 2008 @ 7:01 pm

If you’ve been in this business for any length of time, I bet you have heard a lot of recruiting trainings, and there are some incredible MLM teachers and Network Marketing trainers out there to help out.

But I think that in order to put all of the techniques and tactics out there being espoused into perspective, (and yes, I am an espousee — is that a word??? smile), it would really make a lot of sense to know what your Ultimate Objective is in Network Marketing. Wouldn’t you agree?

I sent out over 1000 emails asking a single question:

“What is the Ultimate Objective in MLM Recruiting?” And they went out over a period of 4 months. We got a lot of response, and some was amazingly off base in it’s answers.

Here is the breakdown as close as we could get it:

37% said that the Ultimate objective was to get a paycheck.

26% said that it was build a downline.

22% said it was to create financial security.

8% said it was to help people. (Great Answer!)

And the rest fell in differing answers.

Now folks, 63% said that the Ultimate Objective was to either get a paycheck or build a downline. Those are 2 VERY obvious results, but they are fruits of reaching your objective, not the objective itself.

When I was starting, my team got off to a blazing fast start and a blazing fast crash, because we lost sight of our Ultimate Objective in Network Marketing.

I had the honor of working with some folks in Canada, and one person in particular I’ll call him Frank, was doing all the right things, but was not getting the results he wanted.

Why?

He had lost sight of the Ultimate Objective of MLM recruiting.

And when he finally “Got It,” his business exploded.

The same thing happened out in Colorado Springs. I’ll call him “Dick”. He was struggling for the longest time, but when he saw and “Got It,” and focused on the Ultimate objective, his business exploded. Now he earns a 6-figure income. I am so proud of his success. He truly deserves it.

Whenever you do trainings or writings, some folks will “Get It,” others take some time and still some others never get it, as that is just the way the ball bounces.

But for those who are ready to “Get It” and explode your business with a little paradigm shift, you have come to the right place.

I have seen businesses literally explode in 90 days once this Ultimate Objective was understood and internalized then duplicated. And your business can, and will too.

So what is the Ultimate Objective of MLM Recruiting?

Collecting Decisions.

Not getting a paycheck, or building a downline, but collecting decisions. Plain and simple, and the truth.

Why?

You can prospect, approach, present, follow up and follow up some more, but if you do not collect the decision from people, you will be a nice person doing a lot of work in MLM and making NO money.

If you don’t FINISH what you started, you will never create a finish worth having.

Collecting Decisions is where you make your money, and doesn’t matter if it’s a yes or no you make money with every decision.

If they say yes, you make a commission and override on your downline. (Result) But if you get a No:

Great!

You still have gotten paid by sharpening your skills with that person, and remember:

Paychecks are temporary — skills are permanent.

The REAL value in this business is in the permanence. Ask any Networker Millionaire.

If you sharpen your skills to Razor Sharp, you can go anywhere in the world, and make a fortune with this Industry. Now THAT is career security!

So I have one question:

How many decisions did YOU collect today?

Your Ultimate Objective in MLM is to collect a LOT of decisions.

As my friend Jeff Roberti (50 Million dollar earner in this industry) says:

“I was no different from anybody else when I started except for one thing: I went out to collect a million dollars worth of No’s.”

That is called a HUGE CLUE!

Blessings…

Got a Home Based Business Idea It’s Time to Turn It Into Profit

Tuesday 12 February 2008 @ 7:01 pm

Having a hobby or interest can help you bring about a profitable home based business idea. So many people dream of doing what they love for a living, but they just don’t think that their home based business idea can help them make a living. However, if you know how to take your home based business idea and convert it into a business, you really can spend the rest of your life doing what you love.

The first thing is to make sure you find the home based business idea for you. Take some time to brainstorm what you like to do that could work for a home based business. Hobbies, interests, and skills are often good things to look at for home based business ideas. Also, make a list of why you want to use your home based business idea to work for yourself. Make sure the list has good enough reasons to run with the home based business idea before you jump in too quickly.

Once you determine that you want to work at home and you have a home based business idea, then begin to develop the idea further. Find a niche in the same market as your home based business idea. Talk to people online or friends and family to see what they are looking for in your home based business idea niche. When considering your home based business idea think about how you can make it more unique and still beneficial to consumers.

In order to develop your home based business idea further, it is also good to take a look at the competition for your home based business idea. Find ways that you can develop your home based business idea in order to put you ahead of the competition. Also, looking at the competition can give you an idea to see how others have managed working with a similar home based business idea.

The next step is to take your home based business idea and turn it into a business plan. By creating a business plan about your home based business idea, you can organize your ideas and goals. You also will need a business plan about your home based business idea if you are looking to secure a small business loan. There are numerous resources out there to help you write a business plan on your home based business idea that will help you get financing if you should need it.

Taking your dream home based business idea and turning it into a flourishing business is more than possible. Sitting down and creating a plan on how to make a profit from your home based business idea is a smart way to begin to fulfill those dreams of working at home.
