Precognition or Circadian Rhythm

Tuesday 12 February 2008 @ 4:36 pm

The bodies natural clock or circadian rhythm seems to have sensors through the brain and body. It is a perfect set of clocks, which regulate our bodies and sync to our minds. It is so incredible that some have spent entire careers trying to unlock natures secret. Some believe this is part of God’s creation, other believe it is the work of a millions and millions of years of evolution. Still others have mystic explanations for it, while they debate with others who say it is all part of a planned design.

Have you ever noticed that you can wake up within minutes of when you intended too? Most people can do this. That indeed is a pretty cool human feature and we all are thankful to have it, not that we all could use some more sleep, but it sure comes in handy. Others are not so inclined to trust their inner clock and so they use an alarm clock instead; just to be on the safe side. Like the song “Working 9-5, It’s No Way to Make a Living.” How can our bodies do this? Why are some better than others, but all of us seem to be able to do it? Why does our inner clock wake us up on-time?

Have you ever noticed that you wake up a minute before the alarm clock goes off? Some say this is pre-cognition of your rapid body change and that while in a dream state your mind is not stuck in time as in the waking hours. It flows thru other dimensions. Others say that concept is bogus and that your circadian rhythm is the explanation. Okay so we have competing theories and neither side has been able to prove convincingly either way one or the other is entirely correct. Some studies have been done in which someone else sets the alarm clock and the subjects still wake up just before the alarm rings? Interesting how is that possible then? Well, some say we can communicate or send thoughts out to those we know. And whoever set the alarm and is doing the experiment sent a little mental message to the sleeper and gave away the time? Bummer? But you cannot prove that.

I therefore propose an experiment. Get 40 people all sleeping and forty alarm clocks which are each set in advance by a computer with no clock on them, just little black boxes; all different times. Each alarm clock is to be set by a sleeping person at different times in different places. Then see if everyone wakes up just before they go off. Ah ha, then you will know if it is precognition of a very abrupt change in bio-rhythms from the sound of the alarm or if they stay sleeping until the end you know it was the circadian rhythm all along.

Simulated Space Colony and Space Station Locations

Tuesday 12 February 2008 @ 4:11 pm

Being one of the first Space Colonists is not going to be such an easy deal. It will take a group of people who really are into it and have complete control of their minds to stay tough with the dedication it will take to pull it off for a life long mission of that type. How will we know that those we invest in have the right stuff? One interesting Sci Fi book on this goes into some of the possibilities of a Mars Colony and the psychological issues, which arise. You may wish to read this book; “Return to Mars” by Ben Bova.

NASA has considered underwater colonies under the ocean to test the psyche of astronauts, perhaps for a couple of years. There was a group that was put into the Columbia University BiosSphere II for three years and they almost lasted 2-years, before the group dynamics, an injury and issues with the interior CO2 issues all ended up destroying that project. Now in the Australian Outback they are planning a 36-meter long space station simulation including a mobile explorer rover, laboratory, exercise-medical room, seven bedrooms and a cockpit area. This project will cost $1,500,000.00 and be called the “Mars OZ” research station. All these are decent attempts and ideas of what we must be thinking when practicing our space colony missions.

I propose a different type of colony in the artic ice cap on Earth to practice for an “ice house” colony on Mars, which would be nearly identical.

We practice shooting them into orbit here, allowing them to re-enter the atmosphere and landing on the Ice Cap, usig the tools on the craft to dig into the ice, build a habitat with what has been given and then living there without help for 3.5 years and study them, via remote video. If they freeze or die, leave them there until the duration of the mission. This way we will know if we can handle the possible national tragedy if they do not make it and know if humans can live in such close proximity, build their habitat and live in using only what they bring? Think on this.

Distance Learning and Distance Learning Online

Tuesday 12 February 2008 @ 4:02 pm

Distance learning has become extremely appealing and widely attended because of the many educational options it offers through an educational format that caters to students who require flexibility in pursuing a degree. If you have decided that you need to jump-start your flagging career, want to change careers, or reach higher for an education that can increase your earning potential, then a distance learning online school is for you!

Anything from the traditional undergraduate and graduate degrees to certificates, diplomas and other certification is available in the wide world of distance learning. If you plan to study business, education, religion, math or any of the other traditional educational disciplines, you can find a distance learning online school offering exactly what you need. If you prefer a vocational education such as computer technology, culinary arts, mechanics or fashion design from an accredited certificate or diploma program, then you will find an abundance of options through the distance learning school format.

Some distance learning schools can be completed in as little as a few months in order to be qualified for the career you choose and some will require as much as 3 to 4 years if enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program. The options are limitless as to the profession or skill that a distance learning school may offer providing you a chance to find the dream job or satisfying career you have always wanted. With the flexible distance learning online format, a distance learning school provides you with all the instructional materials you will need to study in the comfort of your own home and around your own work schedule. Unlike traditional on-campus studies, distance learning schools are more likely to attract those that are already in jobs and have settled in particular locales with a family. The distance learning online school format usually draws more ‘mature’ students and some distance learning schools have a required age limit to whom they will offer their services especially among the university educational community. Personal accountability and motivation are imperative to the learner’s success in a distance learning school even with all the instructional monitoring provided by the schools.

If you are interested in exploring a distance learning online school education, a wide array of choices can be found throughout the Internet with informative sites on every imaginable interest. Decide what amount of time that you can devote to studies, how much financially you can invest in a new skill or degree and what format of distance learning you prefer. Some distance learning online schools offer curriculum mostly by video instruction, others use a totally computer-based format, and still others instruct completely by mail. Many art instruction schools use the correspondence by mail format while some technical schools offer total computer-based instruction. Thoroughly investigate the distance learning online school of your choice as to its instruction format, distance learning policies, financial aid, and accreditation status. If you can imagine it, you can find it through distance learning online educational websites!

Home Study Proofreading Can Be Practical For You… At Last

Tuesday 12 February 2008 @ 3:50 pm

In the world in which we live, education is the most important factor. This holds true for proof reading specifically. The good news is that home study proofreading is more and more readily available. In fact, for those looking to work in this field, they can get all the education they need online. Without this education, though, the proof reader is not going to be able to fulfill the job requirements that they are faced with. So, it just makes sense to get them right from the start. Home study proofreading is the answer here.

Did you know that there are accredited colleges online? There are. With the busy lifestyle that so many of us lead, we need as much flexibility in scheduling that we can get. Why not go online for your proofreading courses? There are colleges that offer college credits in proof reading. You could be developing your skills right now. In most of these courses, you can learn what you need to learn from start to finish online. Some offer online tutoring and course work, while others offer a mail based system for testing and grading. In any case, it is essentially the easiest way for many people to get the education they need to become a freelance writer.

But, is it really that simple? No, it is not. In fact, many individuals think that they can work, have a family life, and go to college all at the same time. While it can be done, it will be exhausting to say the least. Instead of worrying about this though, consider what could happen if you did take that proofreading course. You would open doors that haven’t been cracked yet. You would have the opportunities in the freelance market that you have been waiting for. It may be well worth the hard work to look into and begin taking these courses after all. By doing it online, you can work around just about any schedule.

What’s the Problem - Introducing Solution Focus Pt 2

Tuesday 12 February 2008 @ 3:45 pm

Again, many of us think we listen, yet we don’t always “attend” to the person who is speaking to us. We are too busy doing other things! We are not being 100% attentive. The following attributes of good listening are suggestive of the skills needed. There is some overlap between the various attributes, but each suggests something different.

Dynamic Listening Involves:

Concentration. Good listening is normally hard work. We live in a time that is highly demanding on us all. We are moving fast paced with a hundred things on our minds at any given time. Many of us wear a lot of hats and our plates “runneth” over. But when we are committed to giving SF help, we have to repress almost all of these and concentrate on the verbal sounds (and visual clues) from one source - the speaker. And this concentration, is something that most of us have not been thoroughly trained in how to do. Focus your attention - on the words, ideas and feeling related to the subject. Concentrate on the main ideas or points. All of this takes a conscious effort and self discipline.

Attention. Attention may be defined as the visual portion of concentration on the speaker. Through eye contact and other body language, we communicate to the helpee that we are paying close attention to his/her messages. All the time we are reading the verbal and nonverbal cues from the helpee, the helpee is reading ours. What messages are we sending out? If we lean forward a little and focus our eyes on the person, the message is we are paying close attention. If we are diverting our eyes to the clock, writing something on paper, the message is that we are not paying attention.

Eye contact. Good eye contact is essential for several reasons: First, by maintaining eye contact, we will not be so easily distracted by the visuals around us. Second, 75 to 80% of messages are in non-verbal form and by watching the eyes and face and physical movements of a person we pick up clues as to the content. A fumbling with the fingers may indicate nervousness. Finally, and maybe most important, our eye contact with the speaker is immediate feedback concerning the message they are attempting to give us. It says in essence, yes, I am listening, I am paying attention. I hear you. Remember: a person’s face, mouth, eyes, hands and body all help to communicate to you. No other parts of the body are as expressive as the head and eyes.

Body Language. Certain body postures and movements are culturally interpreted with specific meanings. The crossing of arms and legs is perceived to mean a closing of the mind and attention. The nodding of the head vertically is interpreted as agreement or assent. Of course, nonverbal clues such as these vary from culture to culture just as the spoken language does. If seated, the leaning forward with the upper body communicates attention. Standing or seated, the maintenance of an appropriate distance is important. Too close and we appear to be invading the private space of another, and too far and we are seen as cold and distant.

Understanding of Language Meaning must be imputed to the words. But, as we all know, many words in the English language has numerous meanings. Therefore, it is incumbent upon you as the listener to concentrate on the context of the usage in order to correctly understand the message. The spoken portion of the language is only a fraction of the message. Voice inflection, body language and other symbols send messages also.

Objectivity. We should be open to the message the other person is sending. It is very difficult to be completely open because each of us is strongly biased by the weight of our past experiences. We give meaning to the messages based upon what we have been taught the words and symbols mean by our parents, our peers and our teachers. Talk to someone from a different culture and watch how they give meaning to words. For example, the word “family” has a different meaning to Haitians than it does for Americans. Though it is similar, it is still different and must be comprehended from their perspective if you are to be successful in being objective. Or another listening challenge is to listen open and objectively to a person with very different political or religious beliefs.

Restating the message. Your restating the message as part of the feedback can enhance the effectiveness of good communications. A comment such as: “I want to make sure that I have fully understood your message….” and then paraphrase in your own words the message. If the communication is not clear, such a feedback will allow for immediate clarification. This is mandatory! It is paramount that you state the message as clearly and objectively as possible.

Questioning/Clarifying. Questions can serve the same purpose as restating the message. If you are unclear about the intent of the message, ask for more information after allowing sufficient time for explanations. Don’t ask questions that put people on the spot. Never engage in questioning that will hurt, humiliate or show up the other person. Only part of the responsibility is with the speaker. You have an important and dynamic role to play also. If the message does not get through, all else is an exercise in futility.

Empathy. Empathy is the “the action of understanding, being aware of, being sensitive to, and vicariously experiencing the feelings, thoughts, and experience of another….” Sympathy is “having common feelings…” (Merrian Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary, 10th edition) In other words as a good listener you need to be able to understand the other person. Try to put yourself in the speaker’s position so that you can see what he/she is trying to get at. Be empathetic and nonjudgmental: When you value the speaker and accept the speaker’s feelings you will be able to empathize more fully, to “hear” more clearly and completely and to offer them the gift of being heard. Please, do not be judgemental.

Pauses. Intentional pauses can be used very effectively in listening. For example, a pause at some points in the feedback can be used to signal that you are “thinking” about what was just said.

Building an Ice House on Mars

Tuesday 12 February 2008 @ 3:40 pm

There is ice at the Martian Poles, one of the poles has water ice in abundance. Such an ice over region could easily be converted into a habitat for a Martian Colony of human explorers. Taking humans to Mars is not such an easy task, keeping them alive once there even harder, bringing them back not easy at all. The polar water ice cap may hold the key to building a successful colony on Mars.

Do you remember the James Bond Movie that took place as the ice hotel? There is actually a place where they build one every year for visitors. Sounds cool and indeed it is, but can we use this idea to build an ice colony on Mars tunneling under the ice, chipping away and building rooms. Using the ice to derive oxygen while using the hydrogen for power. The ice can be converted to water to drink and grow plants for food? We can build small micro hydro-electric systems to provide power as well to provide back-up.

I propose that we build Ice Hotel Type habitats in the Mars Ice Cap for exploration and human colony and establish this as out exploratory base camp on Mars. This outpost will be our first step in moving man beyond this pale blue dot. The ice cap makes a lot of sense as a place to build an outpost and colony. Who knows we may find some life already living there.

Homeschool Classroom Benefits

Tuesday 12 February 2008 @ 3:15 pm

The homeschool classroom is far from being the traditional classroom. The daily schedule is far from the traditional classroom schedule. At homeschool you can literally put your feet up. Take a break when you need a break. Even eat lunch when you get hungry. Many times there is no chalkboard. There doesn’t have to be one.

No need for a hall or bathroom pass! No bells ringing in the homeschool classroom to signal the end of one class and the beginning of another. And you certainly don’t have to sit at a desk all day.

In the homeschool classroom the teacher doesn’t have to try to coordinate the minds and the abilities of 30 different kids. The teacher can coordinate the lesson plan to fit the learning ability and the interest of the child. In the homeschool classroom you can focus on a few key subjects and pick up whatever other interests from there.

The use of the school day’s time is also a benefit to homeschooling. In the home school classroom, there are no administrative duties the teacher must spend working on so the time is spent on education. And with the much better teacher to student ratio that is a part of homeschooling, the learning generally occurs at a quicker yet more thorough pace.

Many benefits of homeschooling to be sure and the growing numbers of those parents opting for the homeschooling option bear these benefits out. Probably the biggest reason sited by parents is the growing dissatisfaction with the public system.

Homeschooling is certainly not without its critics and criticisms. The social aspect and interaction with other (the lack of it) generally top the list of criticisms of homeschooling. There are many support groups and organizations that have formed over the years to help the home school parent address much of the criticism.

Be confident, if you know your children and you know how to learn, you’ll always be able to teach your children.

Animal to Animal Telepathy

Tuesday 12 February 2008 @ 2:46 pm

There has been much study on Telepathy in the animal kingdom. Many have experienced telepathy from human to human. Some have experienced telepathy from pets, both sending and even on rare occasion receiving. There are so many studies that show it is not coincidence or explainable by probability. In fact the statistics are so strong that after reading only a few studies and pitting that against your own observations in your ego-centric life experience that any normal human would have to agree.

Now then let me tell you of a theory of mine. It relates to the ability to send and receive thought or signals from one animal to another and perhaps to other species. In my theory I believe that the brain, which is working at a higher level or frequency is able to send better and than the brain working at a lower level. In lower levels it is better to receive thought. In other words the easiest time to receive is when one is a sleep. Now then lets us take both the paranormal theories of the collective consciousness and the current studies being done at MIT, Stanford and other places with telepathy. It appears when joining into the collective consciousness it is best to be a low theta state of mind.

Many would disagree with the theories of sending at higher rates of cognition in the beta or hyper beta realm, yet it appears that you can send information when you mind is running at higher RPMs. Yet there appears to be much advantage at the higher frequency level, in retrieving information stored in the faithful servant side of the brain when at higher Beta Frequencies. If one is drinking caffeine it is often interesting to watch them recall facts very quickly in observing conversations almost to the point of being on a game show. If you watch two people talk both drinking coffee you will see a much faster, detailed type conversation under rapid fire of neurons.

The reason I believe that a brain going at faster Beta waves can send information better has to do with my experience racing motorcycles and in riding on the street. At times I was able to send a thought such as; “look here” or “don’t pull out of that driveway” and instantly the driver would stop and look. I got so good at it that I could tell it was me doing it. Even when the wind was blowing the other way and the driver had the air-conditioning and radio on, they did not hear me. This even occurred at times when I was going very fast, but coasting out of gear. Now then other experiences I have had, have been when out running or jogging, when the heart rate was high, not from adrenaline of the motorcycle or the rush of oxygen in combination in the body; but rather from high cardiovascular exercise rates where I could signal to local wildlife on a trail, do not worry, I am just going to run by. Small Squirrels, rabbits or even watchdogs would just watch and stand there as I went by. I could also signal guard dogs to not bark, but they would come running up to the fence to watch me job by. Other times I would send out threatening thoughts to the animals and they would go berserk and try to get over the fence to attack me.

It appears that when you are in hyper beta frequency ranges you can command events to occur or even people to call you that you know. You can send out thoughts to animals or people and even invade the collective with thoughts you wish to get out, information. If you have ever been at a large concert is seems the music is playing into the collective and the excitement seems to allow those on stage to collect the energy and stay in hyper beta, maybe even more so if they are on drugs, thus the send of information thru music is so powerful as they generally are also sending out emotion, which everyone who is there, is freely open to collect.

It also appears to be able to send out information to the collective if you are in hyper-beta while most others are in low or extremely low frequency states of sleep, this too has been my observation. If a dog, cat or parrot, which have all been documented to pick up thoughts from their owners sometimes hundreds of miles a way and they are running on lower frequencies than humans, then this theory makes sense. There are hundreds of thousands of cases of telepathy being picked up by animals from humans and only a few rare cases of humans picking up telepathy signals from animals. Generally these rare cases are from distressed animals at a time when their systems, bodies and mind are in hyper status for them. Animals with bigger ranges in their brain waves seems to have the greater number of cases from animal to human. I will also recommend this book to you:

“The Sense of Being Stared At and other aspects of the extended mind” By Rupert Shelrake.

So, then after studying this and pitting it against your own observations you might come to my conclusion that hyper Beta helps in sending telepathy to others. For receiving it appears to be best for unification of the collective of minds to be at very low frequencies. However two people of similar frequencies in close proximity seem to be able to communicate with a minimal amount of difficulty fairly easily with practice. Anyway think on all this.

Choose Your School Classes by Using Your Senses

Tuesday 12 February 2008 @ 2:43 pm

Did you know that even though almost every person has five senses that they use to take in information about the world, usually each person has one sense which dominates?

And when you know which of your senses is dominant, you can use this knowledge to choose the right kind of classes for your unique learning style.

Which of your senses do you rely on the most to take in information about the world? Do you know which of your senses is most dominant when you call up a memory?

Test out several memories from your own past, and notice whether your memories are most intense when you access your visual, your auditory, or your body memories. Do any one of your sense memories feel stronger than others? Which sensory mode do you tend to use most often? Are there any senses that you never use at all when you remember things?

If you are particularly strong in your visual sense, you may frequently use phrases like “I see,” or “The way I picture it” or “Let’s shed some light on this.”

If you are a person whose visual sense dominates over the other senses, you probably love looking at beautiful paintings, beautiful objects and scenery.

If you are primarily a hearing person, you pay a lot of attention to sound. You may love listening to music, or you may crave complete silence.

You would rather take in information by listening to a lecture than by reading a book. Your conversation may be filled with phrases like, “I hear what you’re saying” or “That rings a bell”.

People who are primarily kinesthetic pay a lot of attention to their bodily sensations and emotions.

People with a strong kinesthetic sense tend to enjoy playing sports, dancing and engaging in hands-on physical activity.

The more you know about your own particular learning style, the more you will be able to choose the sorts of learning experiences that work best for you, and avoid those methods of instruction that you will find frustrating.

In primary school and high school, most of the educational instruction is presented in the visual or auditory modes. Students are required to do a lot of listening and a lot of reading.

This method works very well for those of us who have a mix of strong visual and auditory styles.

Students who are primarily kinesthetic learners while weak in visual and auditory learning often feel lost in school.

They may grow up convinced they are stupid, not realizing that they did not receive instruction in a sensory language they could easily understand.

People who are strongly kinesthetic learn best from educational experiences that are “hands-on”, such as apprenticeship programs, or programs that have a high degree of active participation.

If you are very strongly visual, you will do best in classes that emphasize films, videos, visual presentations, and reading.

If you are very strong in auditory learning, you will enjoy classes that teach through lectures, tapes, discussions and debates.

Whenever it’s extremely important that you do well in a particular subject, try to choose educational classes that use a method of instruction compatible with your strongest senses.

If you have one sensory system that seems extremely weak, try to avoid taking classes that use that form of instruction whenever it is really important that you get a good mark in that subject.
